Reyes Becomes the Oldest World Pool Champion after Winning the 2018 WPA World Nine-Ball Championship

Forget that he is the magician. Forget that he has more than 70 world titles. Efren “Bata” Reyes is the 2018 WPA World Nine-Ball Champion after fellow pool grandmaster Henrik Larsson hangs his cue at the end of Reyes’ 13th rack.

At 64 years old, no one would expect Reyes can pull off another major world title especially against the multi-champion Sweedish Larsson.

The 2018 WPA World Nine-Ball Championship which was held in Waregem, Belgium from August 26 to September 2, 2018, was attended by more than 600 competitors from around the world.

Reyes said he has no plan to hang his cue yet and will plan to play until his eyes and hands can’t do it anymore.efren bata reyes

Reyes, along with Ear Strickland, and Johnny Archer are the only current players who are already inducted to the Billards Hall of Fame.

Efren “Bata” Reyes is considered by many as the greatest 9-Ball player of all time, and probably the greatest pool player of the 21st century.
